Also, I'd try booting into option mode, by holding down the option key as you boot. If you get to the option menu, this is evidence that the computer is likely fine, but that it's just having a problem finding a bootable devicedevice, which is probably why it's stuck on a blue screen.

Assuming the above is the case, your hard drive's OS may be corrupted, in which case I'd recommend booting from the restore media (by holding down "C" with the DVD in the drive) and restoring the OS. The default settings will leave your data in placeintact, and hopefully you will once again have a working computercomputer when it finishes. On the screen which asks you to choose a drive to install the OS to, you can pull down the menu from the top and choose Disk Utility, and from there you can run a check on the disk. Hopefully it's not the case, but it's possible your hard drive is dead or having physical issues, in which case hopefully Disk Utility will likely give you some indication. If Disk Utility does not show your hard drive at all, likely it has probably died.
