Does the iPhone replacement battery include the thermal sensor?

Does the iPhone replacement battery include the thermal sensor or is the thermal sensor part of the main board?
Many 3GS owners under iOS 4.x have reboot problems (mostly during phone calls longer than 4-5 minutes) that can be traced to the thermal sensor being unable to read the temperature and therefore causing a shutdown and reboot.
Therefore replacing the battery only makes sense if it includes the thermal battery sensor and will not be fried during or after an iOS 4.x restore!

True, I see that, too!
I meant to find out if the thermal sensor is somehow integrated in that battery package which I find to be a long shot, but have read somewhere (but it also was never confirmed).
However, my issue with the battery and iOS 4.x remains: Is the reason for the constant rebooting during phone calls under iOS 4.x caused:
a) only by an iOS 4.x software bug
b) because the iOS 4.x upgrade fries the thermal sensor and forces the reboots when the phone internally heats up
c) by an iOS 4.x controlled thermal sensor that can't fully communicate with older batteries but works fine with the newer batteries.
In the Apple 3GS forum you can find a 136 page thread about this (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2471090&tstart=0), but not many answers! I have two factory unlocked 3Gs phones running 3.1.3 in a country without Apple support and I am reluctant to upgrade to iOS 4.x because of that issue.
Thanks!
