Why can I not click by pressing down on my trackpad
Text:
I have a 13" macbook pro, first unibody model from 2008 (2 gb ram, 2.26 ghz, 160 gb).
I used to run it on snowleopard untill recently. i could not press down on the trackpad to click. after clicking about 10 times, the laptop registered only 1 click.
But the trackpad was fine otherwise, it could sense my gestures and taps just fine.
i had the touch-to-tap option turned off, but i had to turn it on to use the laptop.
As my laptop was under warranty, i took it to the service centre. the guy opened up the laptop and said the trackpad was fine, he asked me to erase the hdd and re install the OS.
I did and my laptop was fine again
That was 3 weeks ago. now my laptop cannot click when i press down on the trackpad again. i run leopard 10.5.8 now. please help.
