PB G4 Al 15" runs on battery, not on AC adapter

Yes, there was physical trauma, but the LCD's fine!

The casing on the right side of the trackpad is crumpled at the corner.

The casing around the power connection is also crumpled. I can wiggle the power connection and change the color of the ring from amber to green and so forth. At least there IS a color.

On a dead battery with a known working AC adapter, I was unable to power up the PowerBook.

With a battery having 73% charge capacity at half full, I was able to reset the PRAM (by holding down the power button). The PowerBook behaves as expected.

Will replacing the DC/sound board cure what ails the PowerBook? I'd probably take some pliers and bend the case back into something close to its original shape.
