Title:

Broken switch inside audio jack

Text:

I have a 2011 i7 27" iMac and i'm having some problems with audio. What i believe has happened is when i went to plug some headphones into the headphone socket i've broken the little switch which opens to enable optical audio. The headphone socket still works fine but now the Mac thinks something is plugged in all of the time so even when I unplug my headphones i can't use the internal speakers any more. Is it possible to purchase the replacement socket? is the socket part of the logic board? Can i somehow bypass the sensor? any help would be very appreciated.
