Replacing upper case problem trying to detach display data cable lock

While replacing the upper case on my 2010 macbook pro I broke a gold colored piece attached to logic board on step 7. [guide|6041] The cable lock still fits in without problems but the gold part it slides under detached from one side. Now I cannot get my computer to turn on at all. I took it apart again and reinstalled and this is the only piece that is not put together correctly. Any advice appreciated.
