iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation: Can I restore music that disappeared after I disconnected prematurely?

I was charging MY HUSBAND'S shuffle, which he specifically told me to turn off itunes as soon as it started, which I turned off after it synced five songs and now all the music that he put in from his cds is gone.

We have looked through all file folders etc. We have 2 iPods on our computer and all the kids stuff is still there. Wouldn't you know. Is there anyway to retrieve his music without the hassle of having to dig out all the cds and physically redoing it.Please say YES. Please say YES.

Thank you.

iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation: Why doesn't my MacBook recognize my iPod?

So I've washed my iPod shuffle (2nd gen) and now it will play music and all the buttons work, but my MacBook doesn't recognize it. It will charge and the reset utility didn't recognize it either. So I tore into it and I don't visually see anything bad so far...maybe that's why I'm not an iPod tech :)

Thanks in advance

iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation: Battery voltage circuit check, whats the circuit on the battery side?

I have an iPod Shuffle 2G torn down to the open circuit and am checking voltages before spending the money replacing the battery. I want to make sure it isn't something else wrong with the Shuffle.

Between the battery and the main logic circuit board, there is an intermediary circuit (part of the battery assembly). I get a reading off of the battery directly before this board, but not when reading off of the other side of it (on the logic circuit board side). What is this intermediary board for? And why is it not passing voltage through?

Part numbers:

Left black chip on intermediary board:

M 6093 W7L1

Right black chip on intermediary board:

8410100 B01-0

iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation: Washed shuffle - sync & charges but no audio- is it fixable?

Ok just like someone else I accidently washed my shuffle. It has been sitting for months. It charges and sync with my pc. But when I plug in my headphones, I get no sound. Can it be fixed?

I read the other post answers but cannot find the part I need. The part listed on the link given in the other answer says it is for a 2G/3G. http://www.digiexpress.us/Headphone-Jack...

But it doesn't look like the right part for my 2nd Gen, 1GB shuffle. Please advise me. Is it really the right part? Or is there another place to get the part? You can email an answer directly if that is preferable.

Here's how to install it: iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation Teardown

also I did look on the sites listed above.

I also watched how to tear it down, but from there how would I replace the headphone jack? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks : )

iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation: Player was stolen and now won't play music

My son's iPod was stolen from his bedroom by a neighborhood kid. When it finally got returned he said it had dirt all over it. When I went to reload his music on it, I could not see any files on it, yet when you went to use the device it played music from whatever the other kid had loaded onto it, so I reformatted it because I couldn't find any other way to delete those music files. My son said the power light kept flashing...when you turn it on the green light goes on then off after a few seconds, but when you hit the play buttons it will flash between green and amber a few times and it will NOT play any music now (even though I of course loaded music back onto it). I can see the files I loaded if I reconnect it to the computer, and they play from the device while connected. Device is fully charged, and it says there are no errors on it, and that its running properly, etc. I checked everything I could on it...what is wrong with it/is there any hope for it?
