Sanyo S1414: Why doesn't Windoze 7 Ultimate see when connected

I can't get Windoze 7 Ultimate to see the camera when connected via the USB port as on the cable camera-to-PC.

I have may photos & I would like to upload them to my P.C.

Any help very much appreciated...

my camerta got wet in side i need to know how do i go about fixing it what part do you think i need to get it going agin im not trying to get rid of it becouse its a good camera and im not trying to spend that much money on it to fix it if i can fix it my self
