Nikon D70: Gaining access to flash components only

My flash quit working to I removed the top cover and noticed a contact that needed to be pushed in order for the flash to work, so I tested it by pressing the switch and the flash worked. Then I realized that there was a little grey bushing that was out of place enough so that it could not push the switch when opened. in the process of snapping that back into place a wire broke rendering the work to fix the flash worthless. I have read the instructions on how to take apart the D70 but it did not even mention the flash housing (possibly just the top)

So I was wondering is there a way to remove the top so I can repair the wire that was snagged without going through all the steps of tearing down the whole camera?

Nikon Camera: Why did my Nikon 28-85mm (with aperture ring) stop working?

I have a Nikon 28-85mm lens with aperture ring that I have been using with my Nikon D7000 for a year. Two days ago, when I put the lens on the camera, i got the "fEE" sign. I set the aperture ring to F/22 like you're supposed to, but I still keep getting the fEE sign. I cleaned the contacts on the lens and the camera, took it to a store where they cleaned it also, then I reset the camera settings back to factory using the 2 reset buttons. I give up. Anyone know of any ideas?

We have many pics on our D70 that show on the view screen but when we try to download the file types and names are squares and 'O's" instead of jpg's...

When we were taking pics, the 'for' would appear in the menu occasionally...we would remove the card and re-insert and all would be good...we were even able to download some of the pics but when we went to download the rest, we got this challenge...

Nikon D5100: Why won't my Nikon D5100 won't detect my sd card?

I just bought an Nikon D5100 and I tried using an SD card I had from an older camera. The card is a Lexar Professional 4GB 133x card (class 6). However the camera keeps saying that "No SD card detected". I tried reformatting it from my computer (which detects it just fine) in both FAT and FAT 32, but still nothing. I can't format it from the camera as it says that "This option is not available at current setting or in the camera's current state". I read that updating the firmware might solve this sort of issue, but my firmware is already marked as being A 1.01, B 1.01, L 1.006. The firmware that's supposed to fix this sort of issues is also 1.01. Can it be newer than the one installed even if it's the same version. I couldn't try to install it anyway without a SD card that can be detected by the camera. Any ways to make my current card work?

Nikon D80: D80 metering info does not show up in viewfinder

I have a D80 and the light meter and other options no longer shows up when looking through the viewfinder. The information is visible on the body itself. The camera works perfectly, other than the fact that you have to read the settings prior to looking through the lens.

Nikon D70: repair the shutter with "err" in display

I found this wonderful site and I saw all these great step by step guides on how to change or access various parts. But I need a guide on how to change the shutter. My d70 is the classic problem of shutter error "err" on the display. The shutter is never opened and the mirror moves and bounces crazy.

Here you have a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pla...

Some know her a step by step guide on how to change the shutter? I would be eternally grateful ... Thank you very much for your time
