Acer aspire 5532: Power issues on a aspire 5532

On my Acer aspire 5532 there is no power on indicator light and will not power up. I have checked the power unit and am getting 19v, the power conenctor in the unit is OK (has been replaced twice). Is there an internal fuse or other device that would prevent the unit from getting power?

Thanks

Acer aspire 5532: Laptop does not power on with adaptor

On my Acer Aspire 5532 it appears the power connection is broken internally. The adaptor appears to function correctly, but the laptop receives no power when the adaptor in connected. (no indicator light) Is this problem fixable without replacing the mother board? What is involved in opening the laptop up?

Acer aspire 5532: power connector broken inside

The previous posts were very useful in disassembling the laptop down to teh mother board. Now I need to replace the existing jack which was completely broken and I need to know where I should conenct the +/- connectors of the new jack. It appears that 2,3,4,5 are all connected to the outer connector, but I see no left over connector connecting pin 1.
